Omega Speedmaster Professional "Moonwatch"
#9 of 166 in the community watch ranking · 5 head-to-head votes
What makes it stand out
The Speedmaster, originally introduced in 1957 as a racing watch, became legendary in 1969 when it accompanied the crew of Apollo 11 onto the surface of the Moon. The modern "Moonwatch" is still nearly identical to the original one, with a modern version of its hand-wound movement (Caliber 3861), the same tricompax dial with tachymeter scale, and luminescent material in the hands and hour markers.
